Charity Organizations

The first line in our moto is "For the Community" and we do take that seriously. We currently support two charity organizations you can review below. When we picked these organizations, we did our research. We believe that the effectiveness rating of the money donated is very important. Some charities when you donate to them, most of the money goes to overheads and other costs that don't line up with why you gave them money in the first place. We believe that these are effective organizations and the money donated actually makes a difference.

Greater Hillsdale Humane Society: "Since 1974, the Greater Hillsdale Humane Society (GHHS) has been dedicated to the welfare and protection of animals. The organization is an independent, registered 501(c)3 nonprofit operating under no-kill standards. We are focused on helping orphaned, injured and abused pets by providing them safe shelter, care and nutrition which will help them lead happy, healthy lives. In addition, our mission is to relieve the suffering and the prevention of cruelty to animals.  We rely solely on contributions made by members of the community."

This paragraph taken from their website highlights why we support them. We all love our pets and can't even imagine how some can be abused but the GHHS takes them in and cares for them in NO KILL facility which we at DarkFire believe is a cause we can support. We hold an annual charity event for their benefit and donate all the entry and rental fees gathered for the event as well as any additional donations the players have been so kind as to give. Our first event was in 2022 and we hope to keep this going forever.

Tunnel to Towers: "To honor the sacrifice of firefighter Stephen Siller, who laid down his life to save others on September 11, 2001. To honor our military and first responders who continue to make the supreme sacrifice of life & limb for our country."

This is their mission statement. This organization is dedicated to helping first responders and military families to get through hardship. They have been known to pay off mortgages and build homes for those in need and often catering the homes to individual who many has loss of limb or other needs.
